This conservation easement is located near Warren Wilson College and joins Pisgah National Forest. It contains the peak and eastern slopes of Bartlett Mountain and lies less than one mile from the Asheville Watershed. Nearly 30 headwater streams originate on the property and flow into Bee Tree Creek, which flows into the Swannanoa River. The northern reaches of the property lie within the Black and Great Craggy Mountains Important Bird Area, which has recorded 91 species of nesting birds.
