This collection of three properties totaling 123 acres rises to an elevation of 6,000 feet and contains significant amounts of spruce-fir habitat and a serene section of Woodfin Creek upstream of the Woodfin Cascades. Part of the property is located within the Mount Lyn Lowry/Campbell Creek NC Natural Heritage Area. The Mountains-to-Sea Trail (MST) runs along the southern border. Hikers can access the MST directly off the Blue Ridge Parkway across from the Woodfin Cascades Overlook at milepost 446.7. Conservation Trust for North Carolina plans to convey the property to the National Park Service for inclusion in the proposed Waterrock Knob Park.
