Milepost: 366 | County: Buncombe | Acres: 551.68 | Hiking: No
Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy purchased the 492-acre property in 2011 which provides a protected buffer to the Asheville watershed. Approximately four miles of streams flow through the property, including a portion of Laurel Branch and several of its unnamed tributaries. Elevations range from 3,200 to 4,960 feet above sea level. This property was recently expanded with SAHC’s 2016 purchase of an additional 59.68 acres that bridged a gap between the two sections of the original tract.
