Milepost: 450 | County: Haywood | Acres: 2,934 | Hiking: No
This spectacular property stretches from Balsam Gap on the Blue Ridge Parkway to Waterrock Knob visitor center, spanning nearly 10 miles, and visible for more than 20. Reaching elevations of 6,000 feet, the property contains significant high elevation forests including Frazier fir. Planned trails will soon connect Waterrock Knob to surrounding peaks within this property and others protected by partner land trusts. Conservation groups are working to combine this property and others into a planned 6,000-acre Waterrock Knob Park.
