Milepost: 368-371 | County: Buncombe | Acres: 1,840 | Hiking: No
This 1,840-acre property contains the Woodfin Watershed, located along the Laurel Fork and Sugarcamp Fork of Reems Creek. The best view of the property is just past milepost 368 while heading south on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Conservation of the tract protects the town of Woodfin’s public drinking water source, wildlife and fish habitat, and open space. Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy purchased a conservation easement on the property in 2005, at a bargain price.
